7th INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM “Interaction of nervous and immune systems in health and disease”

About

Dear Colleagues,

Institute of Experimental Medicine, Saint Petersburg, Russia; Max Plank Institute of Neurobiology, Munich, Germany; Saint Petersburg City AIDS Centre, Russia; Russian Society on Immunology; Regional Society on Neuroimmunology and Neuroimmunomodulation in Russia have the honor to invite you to attend the 7th International Symposium “Interaction of nervous and immune systems in health and disease”, which will be held in Saint Petersburg, Russia, May 27 - May 31, 2019.

This event will represent a special opportunity to divulge and exchange the most recent scientific research in major fields of nervous and immune system interaction in a friendly atmosphere.

The International Organising Committee and the Local Organizing Committee will ensure a high level Scientific Program which includes plenary lectures, oral presentations and posters exhibition.

We should like to dedicate this meeting to the memory of George Solomon - the founder of Psychoneuroimmunology. He was one of the most  prominent figure in the history of PsychoNeuroImmunology. George Solomon was truly a visionary; very early in his career, he came to understanding that certain diseases, such as autoimmune diseases, were altered by psychological factors. His official studies of the interaction between the mind and body, as well as their implications for health and disease, date back to his first published reports in the early 1960’s. Throughout his brilliant career, Dr. Solomon was a strong leader, a supporter of our science and a warm and generous co-author, mentor and friend.
