Historians connect the current interest to ethnical and ethnical cultural identities in a society with the dissolution of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia and with the followed military and ethnical conflicts, psychologists explain it with a fact that socialization of the personality is impossible without ethnical identity’s formation, sociological explanation of the observed situation is a widening of inter-ethnical contacts, stimulation of political and economic interests of Russia, teachers can see a necessary condition of the youth upbringing in a way of patriotism building and a citizen’s service of the native land as a formation of identity. Ethnologists assume reasons of the sharp interest to identity are a consequent conclusion of ethnicities development, following intensification of inter-ethnical interactions, reaction to a prolonged crisis of cultural identities that covered the modern world. It is planned to observe important questions of the group identity of the peoples of Siberia and contiguous territories as in the historical past as in the modern globalized world that is exposed to serious transformation processes. Ethnologists, historians, sociologists, philosophers, folklorists, cultural and region history scholars, psychologists and other specialists which interests are connected with the topics of the conference are invited to participate. .
