The Primorsky Aquarium – Branch of the NSCMB FEB RAS has the pleasure of inviting you to attend the International Scientific and Practical Conference in Celebration of the Primorsky Aquarium’s 10^th Anniversary entitled “Ocean Conservation through Education and Research” (OCER-2026), which will be held on September 14–17, 2026.

The scientific part of the EOCER-26’s program will include sessions within the following sections:

Section I. Basic research in marine biology.

Section II. Scientific research in public aquariums.

Section III. The welfare of wild animals in human care: ethical aspects.

The program of the conference will be shaped by the submissions received. The organizing committee reserves the right to determine the types of the presentations: plenary, section or poster, and to distribute them among the sections.

The conference will also run a competition on the best presentation.

We invite submissions from scientists and professionals, students and postgraduates—participants at all career and academic levels. 

The Primorsky Aquarium is Russia’s largest public aquarium, with nearly 500 species of marine and freshwater life being on display in its exhibits, and with almost 10 000 animals calling the facility home. The Aquarium’s collection features fauna from all the world’s oceans and climatic zones. Here, hundreds of living organisms ̶ jellyfish, amphibians, fish, marine mammals ̶ emerge through professional breeding programs.

The Primorsky Aquarium is a scientific and educational center within the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Aquarium houses a successful core facility dedicated to marine biology research support.
