Session participants will consider a broad range of issues connected with space exploration and applying space research results in economic activity. The session will be characterized by an interdisciplinary approach to space research drawing both on natural and engineering sciences and on social and economic studies.
The session is aimed at students and young researchers from different fields of natural sciences and humanities with an interest in space issues.
The session will include several sub-sessions:
- Methods of Mathematical and Computer Modelling in the Aerospace Field, chaired by Vasily V. Sazonov, PhD, Acting Dean of the School of Space Research, Lomonosov Moscow State University. The sub-session will be devoted to application of mathematical methods and computational equipment for various tasks in the aerospace field, including augmented reality technologies, computer modelling, and decision-making systems.
- Theoretical and Applied Tasks of Earth Remote Sensing, chaired by Professor Eugeny A. Lupyan, Head of the Department for Automation of Remote Sensing Data Processing, School of Space Research, Lomonosov Moscow State University. The sub-session will focus on a range of issues linked with application of Earth remote sensing technologies, including survey planning, image processing, conducting interdisciplinary research with the help of orbital constellations, as well as data analysis.
- Current Management Issues in the Space Sector, co-chaired by Professor Irina N. Mysliaeva, Head of the Department of Economics and Management in the Space Sector, School of Space Research, Lomonosov Moscow State University, and Tatiana A. Samsonova, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Economics and Management in the Space Sector, School of Space Research, Lomonosov Moscow State University. The sub-session will deal with issues of managing the space sector both in Russia and in other countries, as well as with challenges of effective operation of the space industry and the market for space products and technologies.
