The Scientific and Educational School (SES) "The Future of the Planet and Global Environmental Changes" created on the basis of the Faculty of Materials Sciences, Moscow State University provides the Master’s programs "New Materials and Technologies for Sustainable Development" and "Ecology and Chemical Safety" along with the Faculty of Chemistry, the Faculty of Biology, the Faculty of Geography, the Faculty of Soil Science and the Faculty of Fundamental Physical and Chemical Engineering.

The research carried out by the SES participants is concerned with the advanced trends in the development of alternative energy and modern materials, the energy efficiency solution in production and waste disposal, the development of new environmentally friendly technologies, including nature-inspired chemical engineering, the development of modern complex energy-efficient methods of processing natural raw materials and waste disposal. For participating in the section of the SES "The Future of the Planet and Global Environmental Changes", we accept projects implemented on the following themes:
